ERIE – Nov. 11, 2015 – UPMC Hamot is pleased to announce that the Erie Physicians Network-UPMC (EPN) has been named a 2015 Guardian of Excellence Award® winner by Press Ganey Associates, Inc. The Guardian of Excellence Award recognizes top-performing health care organizations that have consistently achieved the 95th percentile or above of performance in patient experience.

EPN, Erie's largest independent multispecialty physician group, joined the UPMC Physician Services Division and its team of more than 2,800 physicians in November 2011. Currently, board-certified physicians and providers from various medical specialties that include primary care, rheumatology, podiatry, gastroenterology, and physical medicine and rehabilitation make up EPN and provide top-quality care to more than 35,000 patients from throughout Erie County.
