Hip and Knee Center at UPMC Hamot


The Hip and Knee Center is an 11 bed unit that specializes in the care of the post-operative total joint replacement patient. One-on-one pre-operative education is provided by the Total Joint Patient Coordinator.

After surgery, the coordinator follows up with patients during their stay and continues to be a resource for any questions throughout the entire process and after discharge.

We routinely perform the following surgical procedures:

  • Partial knee replacements
  • Total knee replacements
  • Total hip replacements
  • Total shoulder replacements
