UPMC Hamot Heart for Women is a cardiac risk screening program designed to evaluate your risk for heart disease.

You should schedule a cardiac risk screening if you:

  • Are 55 or older
  • Smoke
  • Have diabetes, high blood pressure, or high cholesterol
  • Are overweight
  • Have a family history of heart attacks

Your personal appointment will include:

The team at UPMC Hamot Heart for Women will review your results and develop a personalized treatment plan that may include further cardiac testing.

A registered nurse from the UPMC Hamot Heart for Women team will follow up with you at three months, six months, and one year after your initial visit. They will check your progress and ensure follow-up care as necessary.
