Student Rotations Available at UPMC Horizon

UPMC Horizon is made up of two facilities: 

UPMC Horizon-Shenango Valley

UPMC Horizon-Greenville

Greenville, PA 16125

A third site, UPMC Jameson  in New Castle, is also used in the program.

UPMC Horizon offers the following extern rotations for medical students:

• Internal medicine and subspecialties
• General surgery and subspecialties
• Family medicine
• Emergency medicine
• Physical medicine and rehabilitation
• Obstetrics and gynecology

While most rotations are based at UPMC Horizon’s Shenango Valley campus, travel to the Greenville campus (17 miles to the north) and to UPMC Jameson (17 miles to the south) may be required.

You must schedule elective rotations in advance — in any of the above disciplines and their subspecialties — subject to approval by the attending.
