Orthopaedic Surgeon to Speak About Developments in Total Knee Replacement
HERMITAGE, January 22, 2013– Mark Gardner, DO, board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with Horizon Orthopedics-UPMC, will speak about new developments in knee replacement surgery Wednesday, Feb. 20, at 6 p.m. in Assembly Rooms A and B at UPMC Horizon’s Greenville campus. This program is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
Dr. Gardner will discuss indications for total knee replacement as well as medical remedies and physical therapy. He will also discuss new techniques and products available for those seeking total knee replacements, including the GetAroundKnee™.
Dr. Gardner offers general orthopaedic surgery with a special interest in total joint arthroplasty and sports medicine and provides a newly initiated pain control and bleeding control program to make post-operative rehab more comfortable. He joined UPMC Horizon’s medical staff in 2010.
The Gardner family has been providing surgical and medical services to Lawrence County and surrounding areas for 50 years. Dr. Gardner currently sees patients in Hermitage, Greenville, and New Castle.
