​Lilly Oncology on Canvas returning to the Womancare Center

HERMITAGE, October 18, 2012– Lilly Oncology on Canvas, an art exhibition honoring the journeys traveled by millions of people affected by cancer worldwide, will be on display Monday, Oct. 22, through Friday, Oct. 26, at the Womancare Center of UPMC Horizon, 875 N. Hermitage Road, Hermitage.

Lilly Oncology on Canvas began in 2004 as an international art competition for those whose lives have been touched by cancer, including those diagnosed with cancer, their family, friends, and healthcare providers. People were invited to use art, a powerful emotional outlet, as a means of expressing the struggles and successes in battling this disease. Their stories are told through art and narrative, with the hope that the rich tapestries of emotions conveyed in these pieces of art provides hope and inspiration to others.
