​UPMC Horizon Welcomes Pain Management Specialist

FARRELL AND GREENVILLE, February 5, 2013– A pain management specialist has joined UPMC Horizon’s medical staff.

Ahdy Nassif, MD, PhD, is now accepting patients at the UPMC Horizon Pain Management Center. His treatment philosophy encompasses a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach that includes medication, interventional procedures, rehabilitation, and pain psychology guided by up to-date, evidence-based medicine.

Board-certified in anesthesiology and pain management, Dr. Nassif earned his medical degree from Cairo University, Egypt. He completed a clinical anesthesiology residency at Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center, Brooklyn, N.Y., and University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Newark, N.J., and a pain management fellowship at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Dr. Nassif is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the American Academy of Pain Medicine, and the American Society of Regional Anesthesia.
