The UPMC Hillman Cancer Center medical oncology locations in Farrell, Greenville, and New Castle provide medical oncology treatment for many types of cancer as well as access to most of the clinical trials available in Pittsburgh.
Radiation oncology uses a linear accelerator to deliver radiation directly to a cancerous tumor. The technology available at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center at UPMC Horizon for radiation therapy is the latest in state-of-the-art cancer treatment. Methods and equipment including respiratory gating, which tracks a tumor’s position during treatment as the patient breathes or makes other movements, and RapidArc®, which rotates 360 degrees around a patient’s body to deliver targeted treatments of higher doses of radiation, helps ensure accuracy and precision of radiation therapy. Radiation oncology treatment is available at our Shenango Valley location.
Through UPMC Horizon and UPMC Jameson, state-of-the-art diagnostic services are available for cancer patients either on-site at the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center locations or nearby in the community.

Specialists with the Magee-Womens Gynecologic Cancer Program see patients locally at the UPMC Specialty Care in Hermitage, offering evaluation and treatment for ovarian, cervical, uterine, vulvar, and vaginal cancer.

UPMC Horizon and UPMC Jameson also offer convenient access to diagnostic imaging services including digital mammography, 3D mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, breast ultrasound, and ultrasound-guided breast biopsy. Breast health providers work closely with medical and radiation oncologists to develop treatment plans for breast cancer patients.
