Over 2 million survivors of breast cancer are alive in the United States today. For many of these women finding the cancer early before it could grow and spread made all the difference in their care. The Breast Imaging department at Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC uses a variety of tests to exam the breasts.

Understanding Breast Cancer

"Knowledge is Power: Understanding Breast Cancer" is a 10-part video program that contains information about breast cancer, what it is, how it is treated, and what decisions you may need to make along the way.

We hope it will answer many of your concerns and help you prepare questions for your caregivers.

Breast Reconstruction Surgery

This program contains information about breast reconstruction following a mastectomy and breast surgery and includes segments on the different types of breast reconstruction procedures, pros and cons of each and testimonials from women who have had these procedures.
