Welcome From the President

Thank you for choosing UPMC Northwest. It is our mission to have a positive impact on the health and healing of our community, and we strive to provide care that encompasses all phases of the patient experience. You can expect the staff of UPMC Northwest to provide you with the utmost courtesy and to be respectful of your privacy and dignity. Our entire staff is committed to the positive patient experience, and we welcome your questions or comments during your time with us.

As a patient at UPMC Northwest, you will be cared for by a dedicated team of skilled physicians and caregivers who will ensure that you are always a priority. You also can be assured your care is backed by a wealth of information and resources through our connection with UPMC, which has consistently been named one of the top hospital systems in the nation by U.S. News & World Report.

UPMC Northwest is proud to offer our community a broad range of specialties and services, which includes an extensive and comprehensive women’s health program. We are proud to have the only cancer center in the region accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. UPMC Northwest is also home to the region’s sole Primary Stroke Center accredited by The Joint Commission, holding the distinction as a Gold and Gold Plus stroke provider. In addition, telemedicine services enable us to connect our patients who need advanced care to UPMC specialists in stroke, trauma, pediatrics, dermatology, cardiology, and neonatology.

UPMC Northwest also has achieved Stage 6 designation by the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Analytics Electronic Medical Record Adoption ModelSM, a distinction held by only 7.4 percent of hospitals in the HIMSS database. This organization honors efforts by hospitals to implement technology in order to improve patient safety and quality care. Our electronic medical record system allows seamless integration within the UPMC network, so no matter where you go your records will be available.

Once again, thank you for choosing UPMC Northwest.

Sincerely,
Jason Roeback
President, UPMC Northwest
