UPMC Northwest is looking for volunteers who desire to be of service, have compassionate hearts, and who will support us in carrying on our mission of compassionate care for the sick and suffering.
Volunteers include adults who may be retirees, homemakers, businesspeople, parents, and grandparents — anyone with talents to share. Weekday, morning, and afternoon shifts are open. College students also are welcome.

Not all opportunities listed are available at all times. Opportunities will be discussed in further detail during the interview process.
Volunteers assist with hospital mailings and other assorted clerical duties.
Volunteers greet and help visitors and families find their way throughout the hospital.
Volunteers can become part of our music program where they can play music for patients, families, and staff throughout our facilities.
Volunteers act as a liaison between patients and the hospital staff, assisting in ways to help improve the comfort of the patient and their family while in the hospital.
Trained and certified Pet Therapy animals and their owners visit patients and staff throughout the hospital. Our Pet Therapy dogs always bring a smile to everyone who sees them!
