UPMC Passavant Children's House Preschool Program

The Preschool Program is based on providing a challenging learning environment that supports preschoolers in developing social, motor, and cognitive skills appropriate for their age and furthering their ability to function independently.
This is done through the child’s active involvement in project work, play, learning centers, and small group learning.

Age Range

3 to 4 years old.
 
Children move to our Preschool Program sometime after their third birthday, and remain in preschool until they are eligible for our Pre-Kindergarten Program, which is turning age 4 by Sept. 1. The child then moves into the Pre-Kindergarten Program. 

Daily Activities

The daily routine provides a balance of activities as well as a consistent schedule for the children to follow. Lessons are planned to promote basic learning skills, and lessons may change according to the child’s interests or needs.
