UPMC Passavant Children's House Enrollment FAQs

Is there a fee to submit an application?

There is no fee to submit an application for services. Upon receipt of your application, you will be placed on the waiting list.

Are tours of the facility available?

We invite you to schedule a tour of the center so that you may meet the staff and see the facility, as well as ask any questions.

I've been offered a spot for my child. What are the next steps?

Upon being offered a spot, you will receive a packet of paperwork to complete, as well as further information about the center and its activities. At this time you will be asked to pay a registration fee.

You will be asked to come in with your child for a pre-enrollment interview at which your paperwork will be reviewed, and our staff will ask some questions to better get to know your child. The interview takes place in the classroom so that your child may have some time in the surroundings.

We invite you to set up some short times for your child to visit before he or she officially begins care. This gives you and your child the opportunity to acquaint yourselves with the center.

Are meals provided at the UPMC Passavant Children’s House?

We provide breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack.

Will my child take field trips?

The preschool, pre-kindergarten, and kindergarten classes do attend field trips on school buses. These trips require an additional fee, and you are welcome to attend the trips with your child.
