University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Receives Corporation of the Year Award from the Minority Business Enterprise Input Committee of the Pittsburgh Regional Minority Purchasing Council

PITTSBURGH, April 5, 2001 — University of Pittsburgh Medical Center was honored by the Minority Business Enterprise Input Committee (MBEIC) of the Pittsburgh Regional Minority Purchasing Council (PRMPC) at the Council's recent 25th Annual Minority Business Opportunity Fair.

The MBEIC chairman and president of Trilogic Corporation, Eric Bruce, presented the Corporation of the Year Award to George Korbakes, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center vice president of Corporate Purchasing/Materials Management at a breakfast held before the fair and attended by 350 minority business owners, corporate representatives and others.

The award was presented to UPMC for its commitment to the development and advancement of minority business in the Pittsburgh region.

University of Pittsburgh Medical Center was also the major sponsor of the recent 25th Annual Minority Business Opportunity Fair.
