WHY: One in every two people will be diagnosed with cancer during their lifetimes. At UPCI and the UPMC Cancer Centers, our efforts focus on treatments for all types and stages of cancer, with an emphasis on "personalizing" cancer care to ensure that each patient receives the prevention, detection and treatment strategies that are most appropriate for him or her.
Support of the Gala helps provide important funding for the research projects that one day will stop cancer in its tracks.
