Center for Inclusion at UPMC to Host ‘Fast Track to Health Careers’ Symposium

 

WHY: The Center for Inclusion at UPMC is expanding its outreach efforts to students interested in health care careers by hosting a “Fast Track to Health Careers” event.

 

WHAT: Symposium designed to give local high school students a quick and up close look at the many careers available in health care. Participants will rotate in small groups, interviewing each of the 40 UPMC health care professionals who have volunteered their time. Each rotation will last approximately 5 minutes. The professionals will provide information about their careers, educational requirements and communication skill building.          

 

WHO: UPMC health professionals and local high schools students

 

WHEN: 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 22

 

WHERE: Herberman Conference Center, 5150 Centre Ave., Shadyside
