UPMC Voice Center Offers Free Vocal Health Seminar for Church Choirs and Vocal Teams

WHAT: Vocal health seminar for church choirs and vocal teams

WHO: UPMC Voice Center physicians Clark A. Rosen, M.D., FACS, director, and Jackie L. Gartner-Schmidt, Ph.D., associate director; church choirs and vocal teams     

WHEN: 3 to 6 p.m., Sunday, March 18, 2012

WHERE: UPMC Mercy, Clark Auditorium, 1400 Locust St.; parking available in the Locust St. garage

WHY: Worship leaders in Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas are invited to this custom-designed educational/training workshop to receive information on the anatomy and physiology of voice production, essential vocal wellness guidelines and techniques to ensure a healthy speaking and singing voice. 

Worship leaders will have the opportunity to engage in a question and answer session and be given a tour of the UPMC Voice Center facility, located at UPMC Mercy, Building D, Suite 2100.
