UPMC East Alive & Well Series Offers Tips to Weather the Wintertime Blues

WHAT: “Down But Not Out: Getting Through the Wintertime Blues,” is an educational session that will offer ways to understand the signs, symptoms, causes and treatment of depression, with an emphasis on how seasonal changes can impact mood. Evidence-based treatment and prevention strategies also will be discussed.

WHO:

Abhishek Jain, M.D., board-certified psychiatrist with a subspecialty in forensic psychiatry and psychosomatic medicine, and assistant professor of psychiatry, University of Pittsburgh Department of Psychiatry

Gina Russo-Sonafelt, R.N., psychiatric nurse clinician, University of Pittsburgh Department of Psychiatry
