Signs and Symptoms of Stroke Event at UPMC East

WHAT: As part of the Alive and Well presentation series, UPMC East will be hosting a free program to learn about the signs and symptoms of stroke.
 
WHO: Jimmy Ong, M.D., chief of neurology, UPMC East, will discuss stroke risk factors, early signs and symptoms of stroke, and how to prevent a stroke from happening.
 
WHEN: 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 21.

WHY: May is Stroke Awareness Month. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, on average, one American dies from stroke every four minutes.
