UPMC to Host Free Health Expo at UPMC West Mifflin

WHAT: As part of the Healthy Community, Healthy You initiative, UPMC will host a free Health Expo at UPMC West Mifflin. Participants will be offered private health screenings, including:
 
  • Adult and pediatric vision tests
  • Blood pressure
  • Body mass index
  • Bone density
  • Carotid Doppler
  • Cholesterol
  • Pulmonary function
  • Strength
The event is free and open to the general public. Registration is not required.
 
WHO: Healthcare professionals from UPMC will provide general wellness information. Representation will include both physicians and educators from UPMC Health Plan, UPMC CancerCenter, UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute, UPMC Imaging Services, UPMC Sports Medicine, UPMC Senior Communities, UPMC Centers for Rehab Services and UPMC Center for Inclusion. 
 
Diabetes experts, family medicine practitioners, pharmacists, and clinical experts from Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic of UPMC will also be on hand.  A brief presentation on smoking cessation will be included. 
 
WHEN: 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Thursday, April 25
 
WHERE: UPMC West Mifflin, 1907 Lebanon Church Road, West Mifflin, PA 15122
 
WHY: This first UPMC Health Expo at West Mifflin will offer an array of screenings to the general public. Individuals will have the opportunity to interact with healthcare providers and receive helpful advice on how to better manage their health.
