WHAT: In support of breast cancer awareness month, players from the Pittsburgh Steelers will put their culinary skills to the test at the 8th annual healthy cooking demonstration at Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC. They will join the Magee nutrition and culinary staff to prepare two healthy dishes, team competition style, for breast cancer patients and survivors, demonstrating how simple it can be to prepare foods that are delicious and nutritious.

• Current and former patients of the Magee-Womens Breast Cancer Program, part of
UPMC CancerCenter
• Magee nutrition and culinary staff
 
WHEN: 2 p.m., Friday, Oct. 21
 
WHERE: Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC, 300 Halket St., Oakland
 
WHY: The Magee-Womens Breast Cancer Program of UPMC CancerCenter stresses the importance of good nutrition to breast cancer survival. Maintaining a healthy weight and eating a healthy diet promotes overall health and may protect individuals against the disease.
 
The Pittsburgh Steelers join the National Football League and its teams each October to promote Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
