John L. Galley is senior vice president and chief human resources officer at UPMC. He also serves as chairman of the board of directors of EBenefits Solutions, LLC, a subsidiary of UPMC. Galley has worked in the steel, retail, global technology and health care industries with responsibilities relating to strategic initiatives in both the corporate human resources and finance areas, including insourcing and outsourcing solutions.
Galley holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Duquesne University with a major in accounting and a Master of Business Administration from the Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh with concentration in finance. He is a certified treasury management analyst and has earned various designations under the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist Program co-sponsored by the Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania, and the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans. Galley is an active member at his church, serving as a deacon and also on the worship team.
