Leslie C. Davis

Leslie C. Davis is president and CEO of UPMC. She has more than 30 years of health care experience, with particular emphasis on operations and developing businesses and services. Most recently, she was executive vice president of UPMC, and president of the Health Services Division, which encompasses 40 hospitals and 4,900 employed physicians, 23 senior community facilities, a comprehensive array of clinical specialty service lines, and pre- and post-acute services that include senior living, rehabilitation and home care.

She served as president of UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital from 2004 to 2018, and, starting in 2014, also served as senior vice president and chief operating officer of the Health Services Division for seven years.

Before joining UPMC, Davis held a number of key leadership roles at health systems in New York City and Philadelphia. She was president of Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia, part of Tenet Healthcare Corp., chief operating officer for Presbyterian Medical Center and the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, chief marketing and planning officer at Penn Medicine, and in 13 years with Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, she held positions of increasing responsibility, including vice president of clinical affiliations and ambulatory programs. Davis began her career at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. 

A native of Long Island, N.Y., Davis graduated from the University of South Florida and earned a Master of Education in administration, planning and social policy from Harvard University.
