Pittsburgh Steelers to Participate in Healthy Cooking Demo for Magee Breast Cancer Survivors

WHAT: For the third year, Pittsburgh Steelers and Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC nutrition and culinary staff will demonstrate the preparation of healthy fare, stressing the importance of good nutrition to cancer survival.

WHO: Pittsburgh Steelers Dennis Dixon, Ryan Mundy and Trai Essex; 40 breast cancer survivors and guests who are current and former patients of Magee-Womens Breast Cancer Program of UPMC Cancer Centers; nutrition and culinary staff of Magee

WHEN: 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 4

WHERE: Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC, 300 Halket St., Oakland

WHY: The Magee-Womens Breast Cancer Program of UPMC Cancer Centers stresses the importance of good nutrition to breast cancer survival because maintaining a healthy weight and eating a healthy diet promotes overall health and may protect individuals against cancer.
