Alumni, Students, Faculty Celebrate Pitt School of Dental Medicine at Dean’s Scholarship Ball

WHAT: The University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine’s 12th annual Dean’s Scholarship Ball raises money to provide tuition support to deserving dental students.

WHO: Thomas W. Braun, D.M.D., Ph.D., dean of the School of Dental Medicine, faculty, staff and students.

WHEN: Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 6:30 p.m.

WHERE: Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, One Schenley Park, Pittsburgh, PA 15213. 

WHY: The black-tie fundraiser was initiated in 2001 by Dr. Braun who, in consultation with a scholarship advisory committee, selects outstanding students for this prestigious award. The scholarship recipients this year are John A. Full and Gail Kim.

Distinguished Alumni Awards will be presented to Terry L. Buckenheimer, D.M.D.; Richard J. Crout, D.M.D., PhD.; and Caroll Johnston Deuben, D.H., Ph.D.

Andy Masich, chief executive officer of the Senator John Heinz History Center, will serve as the master of ceremonies. Sponsors of the 2012 Scholarship Ball include UPMC, United Concordia, Eastern Dentists Insurance Company and PNC.
