19th Annual Hoops for a Cure Seeks to Raise Money for Pancreatic Cancer Research 

WHAT: Hoops for a Cure, the 19th annual charity basketball event to benefit the Nathan S. Arenson Fund for Pancreatic Cancer Research at the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute (UPCI).
WHO: Boys and Girls All-Star talent from the A-AAAA Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League (WPIAL).
WHEN: Saturday, April 26. Girls A vs. Girls AA WPIAL All-Stars will play in the first game, beginning at 3 p.m., followed by the Boys A vs. Boys AA WPIAL All-Star game at 4:30 p.m. Girls AAA vs. Girls AAAA at 6 p.m. and Boys AAA vs. Boys AAAA will play in the final game of the evening at 7:30 p.m.
WHERE: Chartiers Valley High School, 50 Toms Run Rd., Bridgeville, Pa., 15017
WHY: Pancreatic cancer is one of the most difficult cancers to diagnose and treat. The Nathan S. Arenson Fund for Pancreatic Cancer Research was started by the Arenson family after Nathan’s death in 1995. Proceeds from the fund help support pancreatic cancer research at UPCI.
