Blood Screenings:
Screenings that consist of a series of 28 tests, including cholesterol and triglyceride levels will be available. Results are ready the next day and can be sent to primary care physicians. Annually, 150 to 200 people take advantage of these discounted screenings. For accurate results, patients must fast for 12 hours and not drink alcohol for 24 hours prior to screening.
Cost is $25 for blood screening and $3 for urinalysis. For an additional $3, test results can be sent directly to the patient. Only cash or check accepted.

WHY: As part of its ongoing commitment to the community, UPMC Bedford Memorial is joining local civic organizations to make routine health screenings available and affordable. For more than 20 years, this annual community health fair has brought together numerous health care resources in one convenient location for Bedford-area residents.
