Neighborhood Partners Present Hill District 365 Community Health Celebration Kickoff Event

WHAT: Led by the UPMC Center for Engagement and Inclusion and the offices of Representative Jake Wheatley and Councilman Daniel Lavelle, more than 20 community partners collaborate on a community health celebration.
WHY: Our health is at the center of all we do. Our physical, mental, financial, spiritual and even environmental health, can affect how well we live. These five areas of health are just part of the focus of many events to take place in the coming year as part of the Healthy Community Healthy You: Hill District 365 initiative. In addition, these events will be designed to connect Hill District residents to health resources and encourage engagement between community partners and the residents they serve.
Activities for all ages will be available, including musical entertainment by funk band Stephanie Wellons & The Smooth Groove Band, cooking and exercise demonstrations, apron painting for the kids, job search help and much more.
There will be free food, games and giveaways as well.
WHO: Event is free and open to the public
WHEN: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, March 22
WHERE: Kaufmann Center, 1835 Centre Ave., Hill District
