Educational session, part of the UPMC East Monroeville Mall-Walker Program
, will discuss what illnesses and injuries are treated at urgent care centers. Participants will learn more about on-site prescription filling and what types of services are performed. Interested individuals also will have the opportunity to sign up for the mall-walking program.
WHY: As part of UPMC East’s commitment to the community and its health, a partnership has been developed with Monroeville Mall to provide a walking program to eastern suburb residents that can help them get moving and support a more heart-healthy lifestyle.

WHAT: Physician-led session will discuss when you should go to an urgent care center. Free glucose and blood pressure screenings also will be available. Parking is free and light refreshments will be served.
WHY: When illnesses and injuries happen, it can sometimes be difficult to know where to get the best medical treatment for you and your family. Learn what illnesses and injuries are treated in an urgent care setting and when it may be more critical to visit an emergency room.
