Difficult Conversations: Talking About the Future, Today
The UPMC Palliative and Supportive Institute
is sponsoring the Third Annual Palliative Care Conference. The theme for this year’s community and family member seminar session is “Difficult Conversations: Talking About the Future, Today.”
WHEN: 7:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., Saturday, April 5
WHERE: Rangos Research Center, Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC, 4401 Penn Ave., Pittsburgh, Pa., 15224
WHY: Having conversations with your loved ones about the end of their lives is often a difficult discussion to have. During a half-day seminar open to the public, UPMC officials and guest speakers will explore end-of-life planning, advance directives, talking with family members who are experiencing a serious illness and other topics.
