Due Date Approaching for the Birth Place at UPMC Horizon

WHAT: Friends and families are invited to celebrate the opening of the Birth Place at UPMC Horizon. Attendees can meet staff members, talk to doctors and lactation counselors and take a behind-the-scenes tour. There also will be a Teddy Bear Operating Room where children can bring their favorite stuffed animal for the UPMC Horizon operating room staff to repair. Other activities include face painting, raffles and family photo opportunities.
WHY: UPMC Horizon is proud to partner with nationally renowned Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC to provide comprehensive maternity and infant care to mothers and their babies. Nurses at the Birth Place of UPMC Horizon have received advanced education at Magee to ensure that mothers and their newborn babies are in the hands of world-class medical experts.
