Pittsburgh Steelers Bring Delicious Competition to Magee for 7th Annual Healthy Cooking Demo
Players from the Pittsburgh Steelers
will put their culinary skills to the test at the 7th annual healthy cooking demonstration at Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC. They will join the Magee nutrition and culinary staff to prepare two healthy dishes, team competition style, for breast cancer patients and survivors, demonstrating how simple it can be to prepare foods that are delicious and nutritious.
WHEN: 2 p.m., Friday, Oct. 23
WHY: The Magee-Womens Breast Cancer Program of UPMC CancerCenter stresses the importance of good nutrition to breast cancer survival. Maintaining a healthy weight and eating a healthy diet promotes overall health and may protect individuals against the disease.
The Pittsburgh Steelers join the NFL and its teams each October to promote Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
