WHAT: The staff at UPMC McKeesport Aging Institute will assist older adults and caregivers with finding free or low-cost community resources. Topics include adult day care and transportation solutions, caregiver support groups, enrichment opportunities and educational activities to promote healthy aging.

WHY: Record numbers of older adults today are living well into their 80s, 90s and beyond. But as we age, we face increasingly complex challenges that affect how we feel, how we live our daily lives, and how we interact with the world around us. Helping older adults achieve longer, healthier and more rewarding lives is the focus of the Aging Institute of UPMC Senior Services and the University of Pittsburgh. Caregiver day will promote the various resources available for older adults and caregivers.

WHO: Caregivers and older adults

WHEN: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 29

WHERE: UPMC McKeesport, Crawford Building, First Floor, Suite 150, 1500 Fifth Avenue, McKeesport, Pa., 15132.
