UPMC St. Margaret Hosts Free Diabetes Prevention and Management Discussion

WHAT: UPMC St. Margaret will host a discussion about the signs and symptoms of diabetes, including the differences between hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia, as well as treatment options. Attendees also will learn how to lower blood sugar level by making healthier lifestyle choices. In addition, the benefits of diet and exercise in prevention and management will be explored.
WHY: For most people with diabetes, their quality of life depends on how much they know about the disease and how well they use this knowledge to manage it. Learn if you are at risk for developing this disease and what steps you can take to reduce your risk.
