This Organized Health Care Arrangement (OHCA) permits UPMC provider entities and the UPMC Insurance Division to share identifiable patient information to conduct analysis necessary for quality assessment and improvement, utilization review, and payment activities. This includes the development of clinical solutions for the efficient delivery of health care services to patients, and to participate in applicable quality measures (such as HEDIS and Meaningful Use).
This Organized Health Care Arrangement (OHCA) will permit the use of a common electronic health record among participating health care providers who provide health care services to a patient. All providers would be able to access the entire common record.
