Carolyn Willis, MD
Dr. Carolyn Willis is a distinguished board-certified Dermatologist. Born with a passion for biology, Dr. Willis embarked on her educational journey at St. John's University in New York, where she excelled and graduated first in her class with a bachelor's degree in biology.

Continuing her pursuit of knowledge, Dr. Willis directed her focus to Immunology during her medical studies at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Her commitment to excellence and dedication to research resulted in a distinguished recognition in Immunology upon the completion of her medical degree in 2001. Additionally, her exceptional achievements have led to her induction into the esteemed Alpha Omega Alpha honor society, further solidifying her status as a distinguished medical professional.

Following her academic achievements, Dr. Willis undertook a Dermatology residency at New York Medical College, honing her skills and gaining comprehensive training in the field. She furthered her expertise by completing an ASDS accredited Cosmetic Surgery fellowship at the UPMC Cosmetic and Skin Health Center. Under the guidance of Dr. Suzan Obagi, Dr. Willis received specialized training in cosmetic dermatologic surgery, enhancing her skill set and expanding her professional credentials.

With a blend of academic prowess, hands-on experience, and a commitment to staying at the forefront of advancements in dermatology and cosmetic surgery, Dr. Carolyn Willis continues to make significant contributions to the medical community, ensuring the well-being and confidence of her patients.

Vanita Kapoor, MS, PA-C
Vanita Kapoor, MS, PA-C, is a physician assistant who treats a broad range of skin diseases and is skilled using various laser techniques as a treatment option. Prior to joining UPMC, she worked at the University of Cincinnati treating patients referred for rare skin diseases. Vanita obtained a Masters in Science from Rosalind Franklin University in Chicago. She is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. With over fifteen years of experience in general and cosmetic dermatology, her goal is to help patients feel confident about their skin and provide education about skin health.

Claire Relich, MPAS, PA-C
Claire Relich, MPAS, PA-C, specializes in both adult and pediatric dermatology and is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Prior to joining UPMC Cosmetic Surgery & Skin Health Center, she practiced pediatric dermatology for 2 years with UPMC Children's Dermatology Services. She received her master's degree in physician assistant studies from Marywood University in Scranton, PA. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, as well as a member of the Society of Dermatology for Physician Assistants. Claire specializes in medical dermatology, including the use of lasers for certain dermatologic conditions.

Melissa Colavecchia
With an extensive career spanning over 30 years, Melissa Colavecchia stands as a seasoned licensed aesthetician and laser technician. Her wealth of experience showcases a profound understanding of diverse skincare facets, encompassing facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and various non-invasive treatments. Having catered to a diverse clientele with varying skin concerns, Melissa's expertise is an asset to the Cosmetic Surgery and Skin Health Center.

Ashley Deglau
Ashley Deglau is the lead aesthetician. As a licensed aesthetician, cosmetologist and laser technician her background includes studying at the Douglas Education Center in Monessen, PA for esthetics and Bella Capelli Academy, a Paul Mitchell Partner School in Monroeville, PA for cosmetology. After completing her training, she has demonstrated her knowledge of skincare, including facials, chemical peels, and other non-invasive treatment. Having over nine years of experience as an aesthetician, Ashley has a diverse range of understanding various skin concerns and has developed a keen ability to tailor treatments to each patient’s individual needs. Her focus on preventing and correcting aging has diversified her skill set, enabling her to provide comprehensive care to her clients.

Keri Goldinger, RN
Keri is a Registered Nurse and Medical Aesthetician with over 25 years of experience in the Health, Wellness, and Beauty industries. She has practiced aesthetics in both the United States and the Caribbean. Keri holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Cosmetic Laser Specialist certificate from the National Council on Laser Excellence. She maintains several active Aesthetician licenses in Pennsylvania, Texas, and Florida. Furthermore, Keri became a Registered Nurse in 2023 and is utilizing her skills as an aesthetic nurse, expanding the range of treatments that she offers.

Randi Gatto
Randi Gatto is a multifaceted professional in both the medical and beauty industries. As a surgical technologist, Randi collaborates closely with Dr. Suzan Obagi, contributing her expertise to the world of surgery. Beyond her medical profession, Randi holds a distinguished title as a certified laser technician, boasting an impressive decade of experience in both the health and beauty industry. Her laser certification was earned from the renowned Rocky Mountain Laser Clinic, solidifying her position as a skilled and sought-after specialist in her field.

Teri Jo Carrier, RN
As our Nurse Manager, Teri Jo brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her position, where she plays a pivotal role in guiding patients through the clinical aspects of dermatological and cosmetic procedures. Teri Jo’s extensive career has seen her excel in various nursing and nursing management positions. include home care, pediatrics, inpatient rehabilitation, marketing and development, and case management. These have provided her with a well-rounded perspective on healthcare. Teri Jo offers unique insight and a comprehensive perspective making her an invaluable asset to the practice. She understands that healthcare is not one-size-fits-all and recognizes the importance of tailoring care to individual needs.

Karen O’Shea, RN
As our nurse coordinator, Karen O’Shea is a highly experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with a career spanning over 13 years, during which she has gained a wealth of knowledge and expertise in various healthcare settings. Her professional journey has led her through the fields of behavioral health, allergy management, and primary care, making her a versatile and well-rounded healthcare professional. She received her RN from the UPMC Shadyside School of Nursing. Furthering her academic achievements, Karen also earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Delaware. Her role at the UPMC Cosmetic Surgery and Skin Health Center exemplifies her dedication to helping patients on their journey to achieving overall well-being, demonstrating her passion for providing comprehensive care.
