Sapphire™ Abrasion

Overview of Procedure

A relatively new aesthetic product, Sapphire abrasion uses a combination of light and vibration technology to exfoliate the skin, remove toxins, and produce new collagen, firmness and elasticity.

Am I a candidate?

Sapphire abrasion can be used on all skin types. The procedure can help to improve:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Enlarged or clogged pores
  • Hyper pigmentation
  • Dehydrated, dry skin
  • Skin tightness
  • Collagen production
  • Acne
  • Scars

What to Expect During the Procedure

The Sapphire abrasion treatment takes about 45 minutes and is painless. A crystal-free, suction-free abrasion technique vibrates to ablate the outermost surface layers of skin. Then, the Sapphire lymphatic drainage feature speeds up the removal of waste from and the regeneration of tissues and cells in your skin.

Throughout the procedure your skin receives micro current and high frequency light exposure. This wavelength of light expedites the replacement of older, damaged cells. It also stimulates collagen production and promotes elasticity and firmness. Finally, a blue LED light destroys bacteria that can cause acne and other related skin conditions. It introduces oxygen into the deeper layers of skin, which promotes healthy cell growth and faster healing.

Typical Results

Some patients notice immediate results in the texture, tone, and appearance of their skin, but the effects usually are cumulative over several treatments.
