Dermatology Physician Assistants

​Emily Clark, MPAS, PA-C

Emily practices general dermatology and has special interests in psoriasis, clinical research, and dermatologic surgery. She received her master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Kettering College of Medical Arts in Dayton, Ohio, and is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. Emily is a sub-investigator in clinical research trials, and is training to perform dermatologic surgery.


Samantha DeBone, MPA, PA-C

Samantha concentrates on general dermatology and has special interests in surgical and cosmetic dermatology. She graduated from Eastern Virginia Medical School and is a fellow member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Society for Dermatology Physician Assistants, and the Pennsylvania Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.

​Desiree Douglas, MPA, PA-C

Desiree treats a variety of dermatologic conditions related to cutaneous oncology and skin allergies in inpatient admissions, extracorporeal photopheresis, and chemotherapy infusions. She earned her master’s degree in physician assistant studies and is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Desiree has experience lecturing to medical students, sub-investigating clinical research trials, researching cutaneous T-cell lymphoma, and is published in several medical journals. She co-directs the UPMC Occupational and Contact Dermatitis Clinic.


Olga Gaskins, MPAS, PA-C

Olga practices medical dermatology and has special interests in management of chronic skin diseases and dermatologic procedures. She received her master’s degree in physician assistant studies at University in Pittsburgh, and is a fellow member of the Pennsylvania Dermatology Physician Assistants, Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, and American Academy of Physician Assistants.


Hannah Glass, MPAS, PA-C

Hannah focuses on general dermatology. She completed her master's degree in physician assistant studies at Chatham University in Pittsburgh. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Society of Dermatology of Physician Assistants and the Pennsylvania Society of Physician Assistants. Prior to joining the Department of Dermatology at UPMC, Hannah worked in internal medicine and renal transplant surgery.



​Vanita Kapoor, MS, PA-C

Vanita treats a broad range of skin diseases and uses various laser techniques to treat patients. She received a master’s degree in science from Rosalind Franklin University in Chicago and is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. She brings eight years of experience in general and cosmetic dermatology, including work at the University of Cincinnati, to her role at UPMC.



​Mistica Labrasca, MPAS, PA-C

Mistica specializes in both general and cosmetic dermatology focusing on consultations for scarring, skin care, lasers, BOTOX®, and soft tissue fillers. She received a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Chatham University in Pittsburgh, and is a fellow member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Pennsylvania Society of Physician Assistants. Mistica also works with the UPMC Cosmetic Surgery and Skin Health Center, and previously worked at the Hillman Cancer Center. 



Noel Prevost, MPAS, PA-C

Noel focuses on patient education with special interests in treating severe and treatment-resistance acne. She received her master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Chatham University in Pittsburgh, and has more than nine years of experience managing simple to complex dermatological conditions. She is a diplomate with the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and has been published in numerous dermatology journals. 



​Erin Skaros​, MPAS, PA-C

Erin treats general skin conditions, specializing in acne therapies such as Accutane®. She received her master’s degree in physician assistant studies at Alderson Broaddus University in Philippi, W. Va., and is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and the Pennsylvania Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. Erin assists with Mohs micrographic surgery and other dermatological procedures. Prior to joining the Department of Dermatology at UPMC, she was a physician assistant for women’s health and primary care practices.



​Kristin A. Smith, MPAS, PA-C

Kristin practices clinical dermatology in the new North Hills location. She earned her master’s degree from Chatham College in 2001 and has been practicing in dermatology ever since. She is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, where she has obtained Diplomate Status and is a member of the Pennsylvania Dermatology Physician Assistant organization. Prior to joining UPMC, she spent many years practicing general dermatology in addition to cosmetic dermatology. She is trained in PDT, laser therapy, chemical peels, and injectables like Botox and fillers.



​Maria Lu Ventura, MPAS, PA-C

Maria focuses on general dermatology. She completed her master’s degree in physician assistant studies at Chatham University in Pittsburgh, and is a fellow member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, the American Academy of Physician Assistants, and the Pennsylvania Society of Physician Assistants. Prior to joining the Department of Dermatology at UPMC, Maria worked in emergency medicine and vascular surgery where she specialized in venous diseases and sclerotherapy.



​Nick Woltjen, MPAS, PA-C

Nick specializes in medical dermatology, and treats a broad range of skin, hair, and nail diseases. He received a master’s degree in physician assistant studies at Chatham University in Pittsburgh, and is a fellow member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
