UPMC and Community Cancer Support Services

Family House

Out-of-town families of patients who are receiving evaluation or treatment for head and neck cancer have access to temporary housing through Family House.

Located in the Oakland and Shadyside sections of Pittsburgh, Family House provides a convenient and affordable "home away from home" for family members.

Education and counseling

UPMC offers a cancer education and information resource center, along with psychological support services.

Head and neck cancer support groups

UPMC sponsors patient and family support groups and provides access to many community support organizations.
