Commercial Driver Medical Examinations

On May 21, 2014, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration required that trained and certified medical examiners must perform all commercial driver physical examinations.

At HAPPI, our providers are certified and listed in the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners.

What to Bring to Your Appointment

We encourage DOT examinees to bring appropriate medical documentation to their appointment so we can certify them in the most expeditious manner.

Some examples of medical documentation that may be required are:

  • Results of EKG stress tests
  • Sleep apnea studies
  • Documentation of compliance with CPAP treatment
  • Glucose and hemoglobin A1C readings
