Our Focus - You and Your Baby

With several regional referral centers for high-risk maternal and fetal care, UPMC provides physicians and hospitals across the tri-state area with access to the highest level of resources, resulting in the best combination of care possible for mothers and their babies.

Our Newborn Medicine Program is based on three important principles of: superior clinical care, commitment to cutting-edge research, and exceptional medical education and training. And as an important part of our program, our state-of-the-art neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) are equipped with specialized experts trained in the pediatric subspecialty of neonatology. UPMC has four NICUs around the region with a total of more than 140 beds, available to ensure the best care for your newborn. With 24-hour monitoring, our experts are on hand to provide advanced therapies for critically ill infants in a safe, healing environment.
