  • Short-term rehabilitation
  • Hospice care
  • Respite care
  • Feeding tubes
  • Respiratory care
  • Dialysis services
  • Pastoral care
  • Total parenteral nutrition (TPN)
  • Ventricular assist devices (VAD)
  • Tracheostomy


Rehabilitation services are an integral part of the complete care program available to residents at Cranberry Place. On-site rehabilitation programs include:

  • Physical therapy
  • Occupational therapy
  • Speech therapy
  • Restorative nursing, including:
    • Exercise
    • Walking
    • Socialization
    • Activities of daily living
    • Splinting programs

Sometimes patients need more concentrated rehabilitation as the next step in their recovery process. The UPMC Rehabilitation Institute’s transitional rehab unit at Cranberry Place meets the needs of patients being discharged from the hospital, acute care setting, or doctor’s office. These patients require additional therapy before progressing to an inpatient rehabilitation facility or returning home.
