Family House, established in 1983, is a non-profit licensed organization that provides a special ‘home away from home’ for patients and their families who must travel to Pittsburgh for treatment of serious or life-threatening illnesses. By providing a supportive, home-like environment, Family House strives to make a difference in the quality of the families’ lives while they are in Pittsburgh. Located in the Oakland and Shadyside sections of Pittsburgh, Family House operates four free-standing houses (Family House Shadyside, Family House McKee, Family House Neville and Family House University Place) with a total of 160 guest rooms. Visiting Hours
Visiting hours at UPMC Passavant Cranberry have been established for the comfort of our patients. Physician or nursing personnel may extend these hours, depending on the patient's needs.
Private and Semi-Private Rooms
11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Gift Shop
Located on the first floor near the main entrance, The Cafe offers a breakfast menu, pizza, salads, sandwiches, and grilled items, as well as coffee and a variety of cold drinks. Gift shop items, such as greeting cards and flowers, also are available. The Cafe is open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Free parking is available in the lot adjacent to the
Emergency Department.
