The Book it Forward program provides gently used books of all genres to patients. Volunteers help collect books and promote the program to increase growth.

Volunteers act as a liaison between ICU staff and a patient's loved ones in the waiting room.
People who have an interest in research and medicine can volunteer to help UPMC researchers with a range of tasks.
Duties include:
Assist with light stocking of floors and providing non – isolation patient rooms with puzzles or reading materials as requested.
Assist the nursing education department with classroom material preparation and special events.
