UPMC's Ongoing Support

The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation recently acknowledged UPMC Health Plan, UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, and UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital for their continuous work in support of the LGBTQ community. Our comprehensive policies, benefits, and practices along with the commitment to listen allow us to provide greater equity in care and support for LGBTQ individuals. UPMC is intentional in its work to offer the best overall experience for all employees, members, and patients and we will continue to enhance our commitment and strategically partner with external organizations to do so.

UPMC Health Plan was given the “2019 Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality” recognition. This is an award that reiterates our wholistic approach to LGBTQ wellness both internal and external to the organization.
