Vascular Surgeon

The UPMC Division of Vascular Surgery is seeking applications for a Vascular Surgeon at UPMC Hamot in Erie, Pennsylvania. The position carries an academic appointment at the rank of Clinical Assistant or Associate Professor at the University of Pittsburgh.

UPMC Hamot is a 424-bed regional referral medical center, a level 2 trauma center with 3 ICUs, critical care medicine and hospitalist services, a 19 room OR, and a separate two suite special procedures lab for peripheral diagnosis and interventions, as well as EVAR, FEVAR, and TEVAR procedures. A third hybrid room is under construction. The practice is part of a well-established Heart and Vascular Institute that integrates and combines the efforts of Vascular surgeons with their colleagues in Cardiac and Thoracic surgery, and Cardiology. A comprehensive, multidisciplinary Vascular Center engages vascular surgery with interventional cardiology, vascular medicine, wound clinic and podiatry. The ideal candidate must be board-eligible or board-certified in Vascular Surgery and be facile with both open and endovascular procedures. Prior clinical experience is a plus, but recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Evidence of prior academic achievements is desirable but not required. Candidates must be eligible for a Pennsylvania medical license. A very competitive compensation package is offered based on qualifications.
