What to Expect During a Chemical Peel

  • Thoroughly clean and prepare the skin.
  • Apply the peeling agent.
  • Moisturize the face.

Recovery After Chemical Peel

In most cases, while recovering from your treatment you:

  • May temporarily feel as if you have a mild sunburn.
  • May have dry skin that will peel, about three to four days after treatment.
  • May see flakes of skin (much like peeling from a sunburn).
  • Will need to avoid being out in the sun on the day of and the day after your appointment.
  • Can resume day-to-day life, including going to work, right away.
