An annual mammogram, along with a yearly clinical exam and monthly self-exam, can help with early detection of breast cancer and provide the best chance of a cure. In addition, a regular PAP and Human Papilloma (HPV) testing can help with early detection of cervical cancer.
If you are one of the many women in our community who are uninsured or underinsured, you may be eligible to receive a free mammogram, breast exam and pelvic exam with PAP and HPV testing through UPMC in Central Pa. Learn more about our programs to see if you qualify.
You may be eligible for a free mammogram or cervical cancer screening if you have no health insurance or cannot afford a mammogram with your current insurance, and you live in Cumberland, Dauphin or Perry Counties. We have two programs that we offer. One is our Mammogram Voucher Program which covers free mammograms only and the other program is the PA Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program (formerly HealthyWoman) which covers both free mammograms and free PAP and HPV testing.
You may still qualify for the free Mammogram Voucher Program if you do not qualify for the PA Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program.
