I have never had a doc.that has payed me as much attention as does morell

Dr. Morrell has taken time to talk to me on the phone personally recentaly about some medical problems that are out of the ordinary. this was very important to me and very helpful in getting us both on he same page. small touches like this are what make a patient feel heard when they are facing questions that feel bigger than they know how to address. When you are sick you not only have to deal with your illness and feeling weak but you have to try to coordinate and get answers for yourself. although UPMC is very good and the transplant team is also, it can still be a draining and depleting daily task to try and seek out this info. Dr Morrell and Sally and the transplant team try to work together to be understanding and accomading in a patients difficult times, and that goes a long ways and should be commended and is appreciated!

Wait time was unacceptable at 1 1/2 hours. Scheduled appointment at 9:30am, saw Doctor at 11:00 am.

Dr. Morrell is so wonderful. He is easy to talk to and goes out of his way to help me with my complicated medical post-transplant needs. He also cares not only about the medical details, but also about quality of life. At my appointments with him I never feel rushed and he takes the time to explain things to me and answers all of my questions thoroughly.

Excellent team of Transplant Drs and Coordinators

dr morell was very informative and related well to my questions and concerns. I would like to thank him for being candid

I absolutely love the care n treatment that I get from all the doc. N staff from all of those that have been involved in my journey of lung times I just set n feel Like I'm in some kind of just don't seem possible for me to have come from almost being dead...n now..looking forward to returning back to work....I will always encourage those too whom I come in contact become a organ's truly love saved mind..n words will always fall short of saying all that I need them to say...but......THANK YOU!!!!

He always wears a smile. He cares for the patients. He is very knowledgeable. I look forward to visiting him every year.

The medical staff is very caring and they gave everyone the time necessary to ask questions. I have no problem with a longer wait for visitation.

Dr Morrell and his staff are my heroes. He took time to see me on Friday which are not his normal clinic hours. again I can't say enough of the care I've recieve from UPMC

I have always ha excellent care and response from my care provider.

very caring team!

Dr. Morrell and Sally are the best, they always spend as much time that I need to get questions answered

Dr. Morrell and staff are professional, friendly, courteous, empathetic and respectful. The experience of the lung transplant clinic has improved over the past ten years.Dr. Morrell would not shake my hand until he washed his hands. As an immunosuppressed person, hygiene is very important to me. Unfortunately, not all staff washed their hands in my presence. They may have washed them prior to entering the exam room. It would be more comforting if they washed their hands (even used the sanitizer gel) when they first enter the room.

Dr. Morrell & Sally Smales (transplant coordinator) are wonderful. They are open, honest & attentive. They always take the time to answer my questions. I feel like they take very good care of me & I am very thankful for them.

Dr Morrell always gives me his undivided attention. He is always concerned with other health conditions that I have. I have been doing extremely well under his care.
