Shea Medical Center provides high-quality, comprehensive, and compassionate primary care for adults of all ages.

As a patient at Shea Medical Center, we encourage you to establish a relationship with a physician who will serve as your primary care physician (PCP). If your PCP is not available, another physician will see you and update your PCP.  Follow up appointments will be scheduled with your PCP.

Our Services

Shea Medical Center offers comprehensive primary care for adults of all ages including women’s health, diabetes services, specialized care for musculoskeletal injuries and exercise-related problems by partnering with UPMC Sports Medicine, and a cardiovascular risk clinic.

In addition, the practice provides physicals for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, and offers on-site diagnostic services and treatments including:

  • Blood and other lab tests
  • Electrocardiograms
  • Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring
  • Vision and hearing screenings
  • Immunizations
  • Pap tests
  • Skin biopsies
  • Joint and tissue injections

Patients also have convenient access to x-rays and mammograms at UPMC Shadyside.

Our doctors work closely with other UPMC specialists to properly arrange consultations and follow-up care, tests and procedures, physical therapy, and more. Additional in-clinic resources include access to:

  • Social workers
  • Diabetes educators
  • Pharmacists

For inpatient hospital care, patients have access to UPMC Shadyside and other UPMC hospitals.
